Enter the contest to win a $5,000 Dream Vacation. 

 

Contest RULES and REGULATIONS: 

  1. CONTEST PERIOD:

Contest will run from Thursday, February 22, 2018 to March 28, 2018 at 12:00pm (Atlantic time).

Draw will take place on Thursday, March 292018 at 12:00 pm (Atlantic time.)

  1. ELIGIBILITY:

Contest is open to any CBU Alumni. A CBU Alumni is defined as anyone who has obtained a degree, certificate and/or diploma from Cape Breton University, or its predecessor institutions, namely, Xavier Junior College, Sydney Campus, the Nova Scotia Eastern Institute of Technology, College of Cape Breton, University College of Cape Breton, and or any person who has attended Cape Breton University or its predecessor institutions, for at least one year or equivalent. Staff of the Cape Breton University Alumni and Development Office are not eligible to enter the contest.

  1. HOW TO ENTER:

There is only one way to enter the Dream Vacation Contest. Eligible entrants must enter the contest via an online form, located at: www.cbu.ca/dreamvacation. All required fields must be filled. Once all required fields are filled, click submit to confirm your entry. A “Thank You” message will appear to inform you of your successful entry.   1. THE PRIZE:

This contest consists of one (1) Grand Prize of a Dream Vacation package, valued at $5,000. The prize package can be won by only CBU Alumni (see Section 2 for eligibility details) in the world. The Dream Vacation Package must originate in North America. The prize package is transferable. There is no limitation on destinations, or number of travellers, given the package remains within the $5,000 value. Costs of travel that exceeds $5,000 will be the responsibility of the winner. There is no expiration date. This prize package is not redeemable for cash. The prize package must be used with Deborah Chapman of Flight Centre Independent. Winner will be provided with contact information.

  1. WINNER SELECTION:

Winner will be selected via an online draw generator from the list of applicants who entered through the online form. Winner will be selected during a lunch event located on the Cape Breton University Campus. Details of this event will be shared through the Cape Breton University Alumni social channels. For entrants who cannot attend the draw event, the draw will be broadcast on a Facebook Live event.

  1. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

Once a winner has been selected, the name will be forwarded directly to the Cape Breton University’s Registrars office for confirmation that winner is a Cape Breton University Alumni. See Section 2 regarding eligibility.
